Kiosk mode slide shows in Microsoft PowerPoint
2000 used to reset to the first slide after a period of inactivity. Microsoft
PowerPoint 2002 (aka PowerPoint XP) has lost this feature. Kiosk mode slide
shows in PowerPoint 2002 don't reset any more. Kiosk Assistant
brings back that feature to PowerPoint 2002. It enhances it further to enable
you to specify the time interval after which the kiosk mode slide show should
reset. The slide to which the slide show should reset to can be configured too. To use
Kiosk Assistant, follow the instructions given below.

here .
Installation Instructions
- Download and save KioskAssistant10.exe.
- Execute KioskAssistant10.exe and follow the instructions given at the end of the installation.
Using Kiosk Assistant
After loading Kiosk Assistant addin in PowerPoint,
the kiosk mode slide shows would reset to the first slide after an inactivity
period of 5 minutes. To configure the reset interval and the reset slide, follow
these steps:
- Select the Slide Show | Configure Kiosk Assistant...
menu item. You would be presented with the Kiosk Assistant Settings
dialog box.
- Set the amount of inactivity interval after which the kiosk slide
show should reset.
- From the list of slides shown, select the slide that the slide show
should reset to after an amount of inactivity.
- Click OK.
