Launcher

The PowerShow Launcher utility enables you to launch single shows with PowerShow support from command-line. This utility named LaunchPowerShow.exe is available in the folder that was specified while installing PowerShow. This is usually C:\Program Files\OfficeOne\PowerShow\.

Usage

The PowerShow Launcher accepts the following syntax:

LaunchPowerShow "filename.ppt" [ -m<from_monitor> ] [ -c<monitor_count> ] [-s] [-e]
LaunchPowerShow "filename.pss" [-s] [-e]
LaunchPowerShow "filename.pss" -e

where,

-m Start the show from this monitor
-c Span show across these many monitors
-e Exit a running PowerShow Session
-s Show PowerShow Session Settings dialogbox

By default, PowerShow Launcher assumes the show to start on the primary monitor and spans the show across one monitor. Also, by default, it launches the PowerShow session directly without any further intervention.

In the second syntax, the PowerShow Launcher loads the saved PowerShow Session Settings from the specified filename.

LaunchPowerShow "C:\Presentations\SevenWonders.ppt"

Launches the SevenWonders.ppt slide show on the primary monitor.

LaunchPowerShow "C:\Presentations\SevenWonders.ppt" -m2

Launches the SevenWonders.ppt slide show on the second monitor and spans the show across 2 monitors.

LaunchPowerShow "C:\Presentations\SevenWonders.ppt" -m2 -c2 -s

Loads the SevenWonders.ppt in the PowerShow Session dialog box with the show settings as show on second monitor and span across 2 monitors. It shows the PowerShow Session dialog box.

LaunchPowerShow "C:\Presentations\VegasConference.pss"

Loads and launches the PowerShow session stored in VegasConference.pss.

LaunchPowerShow "C:\Presentations\VegasConference.pss" -s
