Speaker Notes [PowerPoint 2010 and PowerPoint 2007]

Speaker Notes during slide shows are useful as prompts during rehearsals. They are also useful while recording narrations.

This useful feature is missing from Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 while it was available in the previous versions of Microsoft Office. OfficeOne ProTools for PowerPoint reintroduces them through the same slide show menu. In PowerPoint 2007 and later versions, right-click the slide show to see the menu and select Screen | Speaker Notes... menu item to see speaker notes along with the slide show:

Clicking the Speaker Notes menu item brings up speaker notes in a dialog box over the slide show. You can resize the notes window as you wish. You can also zoom in and zoom out the notes - effectively increasing and decreasing the font size.

Similarly, a Speaker Notes button is also made available in the Add-Ins tab in the ribbon. Clicking that button brings up the speaker notes in a window while editing the slides. This is particularly useful when using the Slide Sorter view. In Slide Sorter view, you can highlight a slide and see its notes using this feature of OfficeOne ProTools for PowerPoint.
